Will Donovan
The Donovan Pottery Collection, for Mathom House
Every piece in this collection is hand thrown on the wheel, one at a time, by a working potter with 15 years at the wheel. Made from porcelain and stoneware and finished in natural glazes, no two pieces are ever perfectly identical; the small variations in glaze pooling, throwing lines, and form are the mark of a human hand, not a factory.
This collection was made especially for Mathom House. In old tradition, a mathom was an object passed along, kept, and treasured, something too meaningful to throw away, even after its original purpose had faded. That’s the spirit behind every piece here: not disposable goods, but small heirlooms meant to be used daily, given as gifts, and held onto for years. A mug isn’t just a mug; it’s a talisman for your morning ritual, a keepsake worth keeping.
Because each piece is handmade and finished in-studio, please allow 5–7 days for your item to be made and shipped. Good things are worth the wait.
