Make a Mathom: Kids Clay Project Series
Screen time that ends with something in their hands.
Make a Mathom is a clay project series for kids ages 6–13, taught by a real potter. Each project comes with a video lesson and a box of everything your kid needs to make it. They follow along and build it with their own hands. At the end they’ve made something worth keeping.
In the old stories, a mathom is a precious thing kept and treasured because of its story rather than its use. Every project in this series is built to become one. Each box brings a letter from a new character, setting up that project’s adventure. Each finished piece gets its own Mathom Tag that your little will fill out with the story of it's creation, so years from now your kid still knows what they made and when.
No kiln, no wheel, no studio required. Projects use air-dry clay, and the tools are things you can find around the house. Sam Perez, Mathom House Educator, designed every lesson so kids can work at the kitchen table, with a grown-up nearby or right alongside them.
